Atherton members of PrimaryMD work with a physician-led team of four that learns their history, their priorities, and how their days actually run. The first six weeks gather your records, set a baseline around a two-hour intake, and end in one plan with a next step for every finding. Blood work comes to your home or office, and many check-ins happen by video or text. You see your physician in person at PrimaryMD San Mateo. For lab work, urgent needs, and after-hours care, the Palo Alto Center in our care network is closest.

Middlefield Road runs from Atherton through Menlo Park into downtown Palo Alto, where our care network's Palo Alto Center sits in Suite 102 at 555 Middlefield Road. Weekday hours there are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.; on weekends it opens from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physician visits happen at PrimaryMD San Mateo, 101 South San Mateo Drive, reached by Caltrain, El Camino Real, or US-101; its day runs 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In the city, the San Francisco 24/7 Center at 1005 Van Ness Avenue is open 24/7.

Traditional primary care panels often run into the thousands. Each PrimaryMD care team is capped at 150 members, so your team has time to know you.

How is PrimaryMD different from other concierge doctors on the Peninsula?

Concierge care improves time and access; PrimaryMD adds a team for Atherton members that owns the follow-through. After your baseline, we decide with you what to act on and what can wait, then book the specialists, chase the records, and help with insurance, so your health does not become another project to manage. No supplements are for sale and no test is marked up, so each recommendation is about you.

OUR CLINICAL LEADERSHIP

Meet the physicians.

Get to know the physicians helping shape PrimaryMD’s approach to care. Our membership team can explain the care team and availability in your area.

HOW MEMBERSHIP WORKS

A clear beginning. Care that continues.

PrimaryMD brings primary care, prevention, and ongoing follow-through into one physician-led relationship. Your care team gets to know your history, priorities, and daily life, then works with you on a plan that can evolve over time.

  1. Understand your starting point

Begin with your health history, questions, and goals. Your physician uses that context to guide a meaningful baseline assessment.

  2. Build the relationship

Work with a dedicated care team on shared priorities and practical next steps, with support for everyday primary care.

  3. Review and adapt

Return to your plan through recurring clinical review. Your team brings new information and changing needs into the conversation.

MEMBERSHIP AT A GLANCE

One membership.
A continuing relationship.

  • A dedicated physician-led care team
  • Comprehensive intake and an individualized care plan
  • Recurring clinical review and coordinated follow-through

Membership is not health insurance. Insurance remains important for hospital care, specialists, procedures, medications, and services outside the membership.
