PrimaryMD members in the Bay Area work with a physician-led team of four, pairing a lead physician with an exercise physiologist, a care coordinator, and a medical assistant who come to know their history and goals. Membership opens with a two-hour intake and a complete baseline, moves on to a quarterly physician review built around one focus, and includes blood drawn at home or at the office. You see your physician in person at PrimaryMD San Mateo or by video. Our care network centers in San Francisco and Palo Alto handle lab work, urgent needs, and after-hours care.

PrimaryMD San Mateo, our Bay Area clinic at 101 South San Mateo Drive near the downtown Caltrain station, is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Our care network adds the San Francisco 24/7 Center at 1005 Van Ness Avenue, open around the clock, and the Palo Alto Center at 555 Middlefield Road, open late on weekdays and through the day on weekends. From Marin, US-101 crosses the Golden Gate Bridge to Van Ness Avenue; from the East Bay, the Bay and San Mateo Bridges lead across.

Traditional primary care panels often run into the thousands. Each PrimaryMD care team is capped at 150 members, so your team has time to know you.

How is PrimaryMD different from other concierge doctors in the Bay Area?

Concierge care improves time and access, and PrimaryMD offers both across the Bay Area, then asks more of that time. It goes toward an evidence-led approach to longevity, without chasing trends: a baseline that shows where you stand, one plan with a next step for every finding, and a team that follows through with specialists and records. We sell no supplements and do not mark up tests, so nothing in your plan is there to sell you something.

OUR CLINICAL LEADERSHIP

Meet the physicians.

Get to know the physicians helping shape PrimaryMD’s approach to care. Our membership team can explain the care team and availability in your area.

HOW MEMBERSHIP WORKS

A clear beginning. Care that continues.

PrimaryMD brings primary care, prevention, and ongoing follow-through into one physician-led relationship. Your care team gets to know your history, priorities, and daily life, then works with you on a plan that can evolve over time.

  1. Understand your starting point

Begin with your health history, questions, and goals. Your physician uses that context to guide a meaningful baseline assessment.

  2. Build the relationship

Work with a dedicated care team on shared priorities and practical next steps, with support for everyday primary care.

  3. Review and adapt

Return to your plan through recurring clinical review. Your team brings new information and changing needs into the conversation.

MEMBERSHIP AT A GLANCE

One membership.
A continuing relationship.

  • A dedicated physician-led care team
  • Comprehensive intake and an individualized care plan
  • Recurring clinical review and coordinated follow-through

Membership is not health insurance. Insurance remains important for hospital care, specialists, procedures, medications, and services outside the membership.
