South Beach residents who join PrimaryMD get a physician-led team of four who learn their health history, their goals, and their schedule. The work begins with a two-hour intake and a baseline measured over your first six weeks, including DEXA, VO2 max, blood work drawn at home, and a seven-night sleep study, and continues with quarterly physician reviews. You meet your physician at PrimaryMD San Mateo or by video. For lab work, urgent needs, or after-hours care, you have the San Francisco 24/7 Center on Van Ness Avenue through our care network.
Physician visits are a Caltrain ride away: 4th and King is close to South Beach, and trains run down the Peninsula to the San Mateo station, near PrimaryMD San Mateo at 101 South San Mateo Drive (Suite 311), open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Back in the city, anything urgent can go to the San Francisco 24/7 Center at 1005 Van Ness Avenue at any hour, and the Palo Alto Center at 555 Middlefield Road, in downtown Palo Alto, is open into the evening on weekdays.
Traditional primary care panels often run into the thousands. Each PrimaryMD care team is capped at 150 members, so your team has time to know you.

Can I be seen after hours near South Beach?
Yes. Every night of the week, the San Francisco 24/7 Center on Van Ness Avenue is open, and your care team gets a full account of the visit and follows up.
