Dr. Sonal Sakariya

Dr. Sonal Sakariya is a double board-certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician with more than 11 years of clinical experience spanning hospital medicine, metabolic health, outpatient care, hospice medicine, and complex adult care. Previously, she served as Medical Director of the Hospitalist Division and Medical Director of Transitions of Care at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange and St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group, where she built programs focused on clinical quality, safer transitions, and preventing hospital readmissions. Her hospice experience shaped a practice grounded in empathy, clear communication, and each patient’s values. She has twice been recognized as a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association.
