For Malibu members, PrimaryMD is a physician-led team of four that looks after your health by video, phone, text, and email and brings much of the testing to your home. It begins with your story: records, medications, specialist notes, and family history, then a two-hour intake and a plan that gives every finding a next step. Whole-genome sequencing is part of the baseline, interpreted for what you can act on. For exams and lab work in person, our Santa Monica Center is the nearest care network location.

Pacific Coast Highway connects Malibu to Santa Monica, home of our Santa Monica Center at 2811 Wilshire Boulevard, which keeps hours from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A lot is handled before you ever make that drive: a mobile phlebotomist for blood work, a seven-night sleep study, and a continuous glucose monitor, all at home. For DEXA and VO2 max, your care team finds a partner center near you, then goes over every result with you.

Traditional primary care panels often run into the thousands. Each PrimaryMD care team is capped at 150 members, so your team has time to know you.

What happens when I need care in person in Malibu?

Your PrimaryMD team plans it with you, so a visit from Malibu to our Santa Monica Center, or to a partner center for imaging your physician recommends, is booked, briefed, and followed up. We send your history ahead and go over the results with you afterward. We also coordinate specialists, second opinions, and insurance questions, and we stay the quarterback when care happens somewhere else, such as an urgent or hospital visit.

OUR CLINICAL LEADERSHIP

HOW MEMBERSHIP WORKS

A clear beginning. Care that continues.

PrimaryMD brings primary care, prevention, and ongoing follow-through into one physician-led relationship. Your care team gets to know your history, priorities, and daily life, then works with you on a plan that can evolve over time.

  1. Understand your starting point

Begin with your health history, questions, and goals. Your physician uses that context to guide a meaningful baseline assessment.

  2. Build the relationship

Work with a dedicated care team on shared priorities and practical next steps, with support for everyday primary care.

  3. Review and adapt

Return to your plan through recurring clinical review. Your team brings new information and changing needs into the conversation.

MEMBERSHIP AT A GLANCE

One membership.
A continuing relationship.

  • A dedicated physician-led care team
  • Comprehensive intake and an individualized care plan
  • Recurring clinical review and coordinated follow-through

Membership is not health insurance. Insurance remains important for hospital care, specialists, procedures, medications, and services outside the membership.

YOUR QUESTIONS

A few helpful answers.

Is there a PrimaryMD location in Malibu?

Not in Malibu itself. The nearest center in our care network is the Santa Monica Center at 2811 Wilshire Boulevard, and our Beverly Hills 24/7 Center, 155 North San Vicente Boulevard, is open 24/7.

Where is baseline testing done for Malibu members?

Wherever it can be done at home in Malibu, it is: blood draws, the seven-night sleep study, and the continuous glucose monitor. DEXA and VO2 max, plus any imaging your physician recommends, are arranged by your care team at partner centers near you.

Where do I go for urgent care at night from Malibu?

The Santa Monica Center, down the coast, is the closest option until 11 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. on weekends; later than that, the Beverly Hills 24/7 Center is open all night. For an emergency, call 911. Either way, your PrimaryMD team follows up afterward.

Is the price of membership the same in Malibu?

Yes. PrimaryMD membership is $1,500 per month, billed annually ($18,000 per year), wherever you live. Because it is not health insurance, you will still want coverage for hospital stays, specialists, procedures, and prescriptions.
